According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officers of the Main Department of Juvenile Affairs of the Tbilisi Police Department arrested Z.A., born in 1960, on charges of raping minors and committing other sexual acts against them.

According to the agency, the investigation established that the accused, for a certain period of time, had been raping his wife's minor grandchildren and committing other sexual acts against them, which was systematic.

"As a result of the operational measures and investigative actions taken, law enforcement officers arrested Z.A. as a defendant based on the judge's ruling.

The incident is being investigated under Articles 137 and 138 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment," reads the information.
