We can safely say that not a single grant project that was not against Georgia's national interests has been rejected - from April 16, 2025 to April 8, 2026, decisions were made on 165 grant applications submitted to the government administration, and the positive recommendation rate is more than 95%, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili said at the plenary session of the Parliament.
Botchorishvili also stated that the laws adopted by the Parliament in 2024–2025 aim to prevent foreign interference in politics and ensure transparency of foreign influence, and no project has been suspended or canceled due to these laws.
“I think that today no one should have any questions about the need to prevent foreign interference in politics and to ensure transparency of foreign influences. Today, it is clearly visible how much all this is related to the security and stability of our country,” said Maka Botchorishvili.
Botchorishvili is in the parliament in the format of an interpellation. The Foreign Minister was invited by the For Georgia faction.
