No statement by Zakharova or any other representative of the party that has occupied the territories of our country will ever be fulfilled, Georgian Dream MP Aluda Ghudushauri told journalists.

According to him, the statement by the representative of the northern occupier will have no impact on Georgia.

“No statement by Zakharova or any other representative of the party that has occupied the territories of our country will ever be fulfilled.

As long as there is at least one Georgian for whom the sovereignty, history and future of our country are interesting and valuable, this will never be fulfilled. The Georgian people stubbornly defend their interests. We may be few, but we are Georgians and we are a nation full of dignity. No statement by a representative of the northern occupier will have any influence on our ancestors, on us or on our future.

We have repeatedly said that we act pragmatically. In many cases, when we talk about subjects acting on orders from outside, I do not see any difference between Zakharova and those individuals for whom the country is of no value.

We act pragmatically, and if anyone do not understand this word correctly, I want to tell everyone that they can clearly and distinctly see the etymology of this word. If they can’t do that either, then they should see the steps we are taking,” said Aluda Gudushauri.

For information, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that “Georgia’s accession to the European Union and the joining of sanctions against Russia will deal a “heavy blow” to Georgia’s tourism industry and cause it to lose preferential trade relations with Russia and the CIS countries.”
