We heard speculations about adjusting flight routes in Abastumani, but there is nothing speculative, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in Antalya.
As the head of government noted, there were two very solid grounds for making the appropriate decision, which are related to flight routes and do not cause any harm to the country.
"There are specific interests in two directions - first, as for the observatory, there was an appeal in this regard, of course, it was important to make this decision for scientific and research purposes. This is in the interests of the observatory, which has very long traditions of existence in Georgia, is a very important research organization for us and it is our obligation and responsibility to support it. It is also important for the development of the resort and there is a corresponding practice in different countries. Accordingly, there were two very solid grounds for making the appropriate decision, which is related to flight routes and does not cause any harm to the country, on the contrary, this decision is oriented towards obtaining the right benefits for the country," - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
