At the same time, Wilson’s position reminds us that a strong democracy and free elections are the necessary prerequisites for making strategic decisions based on the country’s interests, transparently and considering the national interest of Georgians, and not under external influences and pressure.

That is why the Anaklia port and democratic development cannot and will not be considered separately from each other. The port should be granted the status of a strategic facility of national importance and its implementation should be carried out under conditions of high transparency and institutional control, transparently and in compliance with international practices. It is necessary to ensure a free, fair and competitive electoral environment in the country, which is the basis for the stable development of our country. This is exactly what the European Union and the USA demand from our de facto regime.

Today, Georgia faces a clear task - to use the existing opportunity, take a step towards democracy and ensure that the Anaklia port becomes the basis for the strategic development of our country, which will bring wealth and prosperity to the citizens of Georgia. And hundreds of millions in revenue to our budget.
