“You know that after March 2, 2026, when radical opposition parties signed a declaration and formed a so-called alliance, stating that they would have common strategic goals, they shared objectives including non-recognition of the Constitution, non-recognition of constitutional institutions, undermining elections, and generally undermining democratic processes and rejecting democracy. Among them were individuals who were organizers of the October 4 attempt to overthrow the government. We said that this would serve as a basis to reconsider our constitutional lawsuit submitted to the Constitutional Court, since we now have a unified declaration that reflects the same goals which formed the basis of that lawsuit.
Therefore, today we are addressing the Constitutional Court with a new constitutional claim. At the same time, we are withdrawing the previous constitutional lawsuit, which sought the banning of unconstitutional parties, and replacing it with a revised claim in which we will expand the number of parties. Initially, the lawsuit included three parties - the ‘United National Movement,’ ‘Coalition for Change,’ and ‘Lelo.’ In the new constitutional claim, along with these three, the ‘Federalist’ party will also be included.
Of course, there are other parties in this alliance as well, but as in the previous case, we evaluate both the objectives - how unconstitutional they are - and the extent of their political influence. Today we know that the leaders of this alliance are Mikheil Saakashvili, Giga Bokeria, and Nika Gvaramia. These are three high-ranking officials of the criminal regime of the ‘United National Movement,’ who are now once again united in the form of this alliance and are attempting to turn the country into a puppet state,” said Papuashvili.
