Kęstutis Budrys on sanctions - We are already late! As a result, democracy in Georgia is deteriorating even more

We are already late. More than a year ago, Lithuania came up with a proposal for sanctions, to impose sanctions on them, as we did at the national level, and that would have been the right step, - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated before the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, when answering a question from Euroscope about the sanctions related to Georgia.

According to him, as the EU acted too slowly regarding sanctions, democracy in Georgia is getting worse.

“Now, considering the situation a year later, when democracy in Georgia is getting worse, this is the result. We were too late and we acted too slowly. This is the result, so now we need to move forward,” the minister noted.
