Gela Geladze to be appointed as head of State Security Service

We will present the candidacy of Mr. Geka Geladze to the Parliament of Georgia for the position of Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at the briefing held at the Government Administration.

The Head of Government emphasized the systemic reforms and changes implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs during Geka Geladze's tenure as Minister and wished him success in his new position.

"We would like to ask the Parliament of Georgia to elect Mr. Geka Geladze to the position of Head of the State Security Service in the next session week. I would like to emphasize the special achievements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during these months. This especially concerns the fight against organized crime, the fight against drug crimes, many other areas, and here I would also like to emphasize the systemic reforms and changes that have been implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For this, I would like to thank Geka Geladze and wish him success in his new position," the Prime Minister noted.
