“The United Kingdom is particularly noteworthy in that its sanctions have proven to be the most effective—therefore, continuing this is very important. The alliance has stated: protest inside, sanctions outside, and offering an alternative,” said Nika Gvaramia, leader of the “Coalition for Change,” speaking to journalists after meeting with the British Ambassador.

Gvaramia also noted that the meeting was successful in this regard.

“We have our own vision of how the government should be changed—this is not only protest, although it is unquestionably also protest—and how we should continue moving the country forward after this government is no longer in power.

Right now, the country is not moving forward; it is not even standing still—it is moving backwards every day,” Gvaramia said.

Today, leaders of the opposition alliance met with the British Ambassador.
