According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (“Geostat”), based on preliminary estimates, real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in March 2026 amounted to 10.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, while the average real growth for the first quarter stood at 9.1%.
As stated in the information released by Geostat, the sectors that made a significant positive contribution to growth in March 2026, compared to the same period of the previous year, included: manufacturing, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, mining and quarrying, construction, as well as transportation and storage.
According to the same source, a decline was observed in administrative and support service activities, as well as in the hotels and restaurants sector.
