“Despite the fact that the opposition and political actors, including the President, made serious strategic mistakes over the past year, it is encouraging to hear that Georgian politics and Georgian political actors are returning to common sense,” said Irakli Kupradze, Secretary General of “Strong Georgia – Lelo.”
He was commenting on the statement by Georgia’s fifth president, Salome Zourabichvili, that the opposition must preserve its identity.
According to Kupradze, the “return to common sense” among political actors is important in order to create a unified political strategy.
“We have one important task – to remove Bidzina Ivanishvili from power, and this must be achieved through elections and the consolidation of society, not through artificial or mechanical unity that does not address the needs of the Georgian people.
The return of Georgian political actors to common sense is valuable and important for creating a unified political strategy through which Bidzina Ivanishvili will be defeated, and Georgian politics will not remain in a mode of self-damage,” said Irakli Kupradze.
