Salome Samadashvili - The resolution to be adopted by the European Parliament on May 5 will once again make it clear that the Georgian Dream poses a threat to Georgian citizens losing the gains of visa-free travel

According to her, today the ruling political force poses a threat to all citizens of Georgia, threatening to lose the current achievements with the European Union, such as visa liberalization.

“While the ruling party continues to deceive the Georgian people, pretending to want to reset and normalize relations with the European Union, not a single step is being taken in the direction that would allow the European Union to start a dialogue with Georgia regarding our future. On the contrary, the resolution that the European Parliament is to adopt will make it clear once again that today the ruling political force is posing a threat to all citizens of Georgia of losing the gains that we already have in relations with the European Union, such as, for example, visa-free travel. This threat is created for the sole reason, which is the policy pursued by Bidzina Ivanishvili, which serves the interests of Russia, so that this country remains in absolute isolation from Europe and the Western world,” Samadashvili said.

For information, on May 5, the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee will vote on the draft 2025 report on Georgia. The rapporteur of the report is MEP Rasa Juknevičienė.
