Mikhail Galuzin discusses issues related to representation of Russian and Georgian interests with Swiss Ambassador to Moscow

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin discussed issues related to the representation of Russian and Georgian interests with the Swiss Ambassador, Russian media reports.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin met with Swiss Ambassador to Russia Jürg Bur.

“A brief exchange of views took place on a number of topics, taking into account that the representation of the interests of the Russian Federation in Georgia, and the representation of the interests of Georgia in the Russian Federation, carries out their functions through Bern,” the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.

As a reminder, after the 2008 Russia-Georgia war and the so-called recognition of the territories occupied by Russia, Georgia severed diplomatic relations with Russia in September 2008.

Since March 2009, the Russian Interests Section has been operating at the Swiss Embassy in Georgia, while the Georgian Interests Section has been operating at the Swiss Embassy in the Russian Federation.
