The arrest of riot police officers by the violent regime of the Georgian Dream is nothing more than another farce of the Ivanishvili government and an attempt to save itself from the righteous wrath of the Georgian people, - reads a statement of Lelo-Strong Georgia.

Lelo-Strong Georgia responds to the arrest of five people in connection with the fact of violence against Levan Khabeishvili, Guram Rogava and protester Zviad Maisashvili.

According to the statement, the decision is not a restoration of justice, but a "forced step" by the Georgian Dream government, which was taken only after a journalistic investigation named the persons involved in the violence and their crimes.

“This is not a real fight against crime, as Ivanishvili’s anti-Georgian regime still protects dozens of perpetrators who participated in the brutal crackdown on civilians, journalists, and political opponents. Among them, those who kidnapped and mercilessly beat Aleko Elisashvili, the special forces who brutalized journalist Maka Chikhladze, her cameraman, and Davit Katsarava and other peaceful protesters remain unpunished.

Moreover, the regime continues to commit violence against civil activists and political leaders, using law enforcement officers as false witnesses to seek political revenge against innocent people.

What we have seen today is a cheap farce and a poorly staged spectacle aimed at deceiving the public and temporarily neutralizing international pressure. The regime cannot escape responsibility by arresting Several perpetrators.

The facts are there. The public knows the names and surnames of the perpetrators. All perpetrators, both the perpetrators and the high-ranking officials who gave the orders and the political clients, must be held accountable.
