The verdict handed down today against those detained on October 4 is not an act of justice. This is a political vendetta by the regime, which has nothing to do with justice, reads a statement of the Opposition Alliance, by which the Alliance responds to the court's decision in the October 4 case, according to which Paata Burchuladze, Murtaz Zodelava, Irakli Nadiradze, Lasha Beridze and Paata Manjgaladze were sentenced to 7 years in prison, Tornike Mchedlishvili, Nika Gventsadze, Irakli Chkhvirkia to 5 years each, and Irakli Shaishmelashvili to 2 years.

According to the statement, all the detainees are "political prisoners and the decision only aggravates the regime's responsibility".
