By government decree, World War II participants will receive a one-time payment of 2,000 GEL, and family members of those killed in World War II will receive 1,000 GEL

By decree of the Government of Georgia, in connection with the 81st anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, participants of World War II will receive a one-time cash social assistance of 2,000 GEL, and family members of those who died in World War II will receive 1,000 GEL.

“Financial assistance will be provided to World War II participants and family members of those who died in the war registered in the electronic database of veterans of the State Service for Veterans’ Affairs.

According to the decree, the issuance of one-time cash social assistance throughout the territory of Georgia (except for World War II participants and family members of those who died in the World War II registered in the Tbilisi City Municipality) will be provided by the Social Service Agency, subject to state control of the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection of Georgia. The Tbilisi City Hall will allocate appropriate funds for the issuance of cash assistance to World War II participants and family members of those who died in the World War II registered in Tbilisi,” the government administration reports.
