A plea agreement has been signed between Gela Khasaia, a member of the Girchi-More Freedom party, and Vasil Kerdikoshvili, who was detained with him.
Judge Irakli Khuskivadze found both individuals guilty and approved the agreement reached between the parties.
The plea agreement was signed with the following conditions for both individuals: 1 year of actual punishment and 3 years of suspended sentence.
Both of them will leave prison in September.
For information, the prosecutor's office accused Gela Khasaia of intentionally causing bodily harm to the victim - Ramaz Chaduneli - on September 1, in the vicinity of Tamar Mepe Avenue in Tbilisi, together with Vasil Kerdikoshvili. Law enforcement officers arrested the defendants on September 29. They were charged under Article 118, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (intentional less serious harm to health, committed by a group), which provides for a sentence of 4 to 6 years in prison.
