Aleko Elisashvili - There are two pieces of "evidence" in the case, one - the dog "says" that it was me, the other is video footage, on which, according to the expert, it is impossible to determine the identity

There is zero evidence, they found a dog somewhere on the street, or maybe they didn't even find it. That dog is naming me. There are two pieces of evidence in the case, one - the dog says it was me, the second evidence is video footage, which the Samkharauli expert says cannot be identified, - said Aleko Elisashvili, a politician accused of another episode of the terrorist act, one of the leaders of Strong Georgia - Lelo.

With this, he responded to another accusation brought against him.

"I want to say about the evidence, I have a 15-year article and should you decide for me what to say and what not to say?

The footage, which was attributed to me, is a shocking novel. It is not even called a stitch, it is glued with spit. This story happened on May 4, 2025, I am saying it word for word, which the interrogation protocol states that the investigation began on the same day, the police and investigators arrived at Kvantaliani Street, they spoke to citizen Iakobashvili, he had a surveillance camera on the street, they told him that if you see a suspicious person dressed in black in the footage, contact us, in the interrogation protocol this citizen calls the police and says that he found this person in the footage. Do you know what happens after that? He tells the police and investigators that he saw a person in the footage who is allegedly a terrorist and for 8 months not a single police officer has contacted him, no investigator has come, show us what footage you have. From May 4, 2025 to January 13, 2026, not a single police officer has come and said, show us what footage you have...

Here, this is a scam from start to finish, no matter what charges I have been charged with. If terrorism happened and the court was burnt, why would you sleep at home for 8 months? You don't even know how to sew, what a disaster this is?" - said Elisashvili.

Judge Meia Melkadze reprimanded him and told him to speak correctly. Elisashvili replied that he had not said anything offensive.

The mentioned episode concerns the fire in the Tbilisi City Court archive building.

According to the inditement, the mentioned fact occurred on May 4, 2025.
