Since we have been banned from holding a rally near Bidzina Ivanishvili's residence, every Wednesday and Friday at 7:00 PM, we will hold a one-person rally near Bidzina Ivanishvili's residence in Sololaki, which, according to the law, does not constitute a rally and, accordingly, does not fall under the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, - reads a statement of the parents of children with Duchenne.
Also, according to them, another rally will be held near the government administration today, starting at 5:00 PM.
“Just like every Monday, today, from 17:00, together with our supporters, we will gather in front of the government administration and remind the government that we are demanding medicine to save our children. Every day of government inaction is equal to a lost life.
We will also continue our continuous rallies in front of the government administration and the Duchesne March every Sunday.
Also, since the Ministry of Internal Affairs has prohibited us from holding a rally near Bidzina Ivanishvili’s residence by written instruction, every Wednesday and Friday, at 19:00, we will hold a one-person rally near Bidzina Ivanishvili’s residence in Sololaki, which, according to the law, does not constitute a rally and, accordingly, does not fall under the instruction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
We thank all our supporters for standing by our side and helping us!” – reads the statement.
For the 28th day, parents have been holding continuous protests and staying up all night demanding medicine in front of the Government House. They are demanding that the state import the medicine into the country, which, according to them, will alleviate the children's condition and slow down the process of muscular dystrophy.
