According to the Public Relations Service of the Patriarchate, on May 17, a warm and brotherly telephone conversation took place between His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia Shio III, and His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I.
The Ecumenical Patriarch warmly congratulated the Georgian Patriarch on his enthronement as the head of the Georgian Orthodox Apostolic Church and wished him fruitful, peaceful, and long service for the strengthening of the Church and for the benefit of Georgia and the Georgian people.
In turn, Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ecumenical Patriarch for his sincere congratulations and good wishes.
At the end of the conversation, the Ecumenical Patriarch invited the Georgian Patriarch to Constantinople in the near future.
