A Russian citizen who fell into a river in occupied Tskhinvali is currently being searched for, according to local media reports.
According to the so-called Emergency Situations Ministry of occupied Tskhinvali, nearly 200 people are involved in the search and rescue operation.
Russian media report that the missing person is 1974-born Russian citizen Anna Titsi, who fell into the Liakhvi River on the evening of May 21.
Russian outlets also report that the de facto authorities of occupied Tskhinvali requested assistance from the Georgian side in locating the missing woman, and that Georgian rescue teams have also joined the search efforts.
According to Russian state media, the woman is a film director who had been producing films about participants in the so-called “special military operation,” specifically individuals from Tskhinvali involved in Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
