The U.S. Embassy in Georgia has provided details regarding the visit of representatives of the U.S. Department of State, stating that the meetings will focus on the need to place bilateral relations between the two countries on a path of improvement

The delegation from the U.S. Department of State arrived in Georgia on May 24 and will remain in the country until May 29.

According to information provided to InterpressNews by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, during the visit the State Department representatives will meet with officials from the Georgian government, representatives of political parties, the business sector, as well as religious leaders.

The embassy stated that the meetings will focus on “the need to put the improvement of bilateral relations between the two countries on the right track, as well as increasing the welfare of the Georgian and American people.”

The U.S. Embassy did not specify the composition of the delegation.
