Pope Leo XIV congratulates Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Independence Day.

The information and the content of the congratulatory letter have been released by the President's Administration.

“On the occasion of your National Day, I send Your Excellency my warmest wishes for the well-being of your country and the unity of hearts. I pray before the Lord that your fellow citizens may continue to find ever new inspiration in their service to the common good of the nation. May they remain peacemakers, sensitive to the cry of the poor, and creative in charitable works to alleviate their suffering. May Almighty God, through the intercession of Saint Nino, grant Georgians the right to live in safety and peace. I sincerely invoke divine blessings upon Your Excellency, upon all those responsible for public affairs, and upon the entire Georgian people,” reads the congratulatory letter of Pope Leo XIV.
