Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department have detained a person wanted under a red circular.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released information about the above.

“Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a citizen of the Republic of Turkey wanted under an Interpol red circular. The detainee was wanted internationally under an Interpol red circular at the request of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey for various crimes. Law enforcement officers detained the convict in Batumi as a result of the investigative actions carried out. Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainee,” reads the information.
