UEFA Champions League has announced that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was selected as the best player of the season, according to UEFA.
“The exceptional Georgian winger played a decisive role in Paris Saint-Germain’s consecutive title victory. He scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists throughout the tournament, delivering outstanding performances on the left flank.
He also played a crucial role in the final victory against Arsenal, where he was brought down by Cristian Mosquera, resulting in a penalty that Ousmane Dembélé converted, helping Luis Enrique’s team equalize at 1–1.
Perhaps his most memorable performance came in the first leg of the thrilling semifinal against Bayern Munich, a 5–4 victory, where he scored a stunning goal to level the score at 1–1, and later completed an impressive brace with a powerful strike in the second half,” the UEFA statement reads.
The Georgian footballer won the UEFA Champions League twice in a row with Paris Saint-Germain.
