British International School Tbilisi (BIST) Investing Over 2.3 Million GEL in Georgia's Future Since 2023 via Scholarships

Since launching its scholarship programme in 2023, the British International School of Tbilisi has welcomed 26 scholarship students - seven of them joining in the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.

Across these three years, BIST's cumulative investment in scholarship funding has reached 2.3 million GEL.

For a school that consistently ranks among Georgia's leading international institutions, the scholarship programme is a natural extension of its academic ambition - identifying students with outstanding potential and giving them access to a genuinely world-class education.

"We want the most ambitious young people in Georgia to have the chance to study at BIST. Talent is not rare - opportunity sometimes is. This programme is how we close that gap." - Robert Snowden, Principal, BIST

BIST offers a rigorous British curriculum within a diverse, internationally-minded community. Its track record of strong examination results and university placements has established the school as a preferred choice for families seeking an education that prepares students for the world beyond Georgia's borders - and scholarship holders are part of that same story.

Scholarship applications are reviewed annually on a merit basis, assessing academic performance, intellectual curiosity, and personal qualities. The programme continues to grow, and with 26 students supported to date and a total commitment of 2.3 million GEL, BIST is building something with measurable, lasting impact.
