Prime Minister’s report: Georgia continues multi-vector cooperation and harmonization with the European Union in foreign policy

According to the report on the implementation of the Government Program, Georgia continues its multi-vector cooperation and harmonization with the European Union in the field of foreign policy.

As stated in the document, the government's peace policy toward the occupied territories and humanitarian engagement programs have continued.

The document also notes that during the reporting period, covering June 1, 2025 through May 2026, life expectancy increased and child mortality declined.

“During the reporting period, revenue from tourism reached a record-high USD 4.7 billion. In the area of social policy, it is noteworthy that pensions and social assistance benefits increased, healthcare coverage expanded to 95 percent, life expectancy rose, and child mortality decreased. Support for internally displaced persons, eco-migrants, and vulnerable groups continued.

In the field of education, a comprehensive systemic reform is underway, educational programs and infrastructure have been updated, and funding for research has increased. In the areas of culture and sports, projects have been expanded, hundreds of initiatives have been funded, and new sports infrastructure has been developed.

In foreign policy, Georgia continues its multi-vector cooperation and harmonization with the European Union. At the same time, the country remains actively involved in regional and international projects.

In the defense sector, a long-term transformation is underway based on a vision extending to 2035. Air defense, intelligence, engineering, and cybersecurity capabilities are being enhanced; unmanned systems are being introduced; and modern command, control, and communication infrastructure is being strengthened,” the document states.

The report is scheduled to be presented by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the conclusion of the ongoing spring session of Parliament.
