Nikoloz Samkharadze - We had an interesting discussion with representatives of the Department of State, which gives me reason to say that relations are reaching new heights - partnership should be mutually beneficial

The reset process has already begun, based on the fact that there is a very good dynamics of exchange of visits - accordingly, this process is already quite promising, - Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations, told journalists while assessing the information disseminated by the Embassy about the visit of the US delegation.

Samkharadze expresses hope that relations between Georgia and America will reach new heights in the future.

"I personally have quite positive expectations, especially considering the recent visit that took place last week and in which representatives of the State Department were involved. We had a very interesting discussion on many issues, and all of this, including the statements they made, gives me reason to say that relations between us will not only be reset, but will rise to new heights. Of course, this requires a working process, both on our part and on the part of the United States, but the main thing is that this process has been launched and I very much hope that in the future these relations will rise to new heights. By new heights, I mean that a new strategic partnership agreement will be signed between Georgia and the United States, in which the main issue will be mutual benefit from this partnership. Both the United States of America and Georgia should benefit from these relations. We had a conversation around this topic, and it is very good that there is already a preliminary agreement around this idea that a strategic partnership should be mutually beneficial," said Nikoloz Samkharadze.
