Abanotubani Group issues a statement on death of two people in a bathhouse in Old Tbilisi and explains that all safety standards were observed at the facility.

According to Abanotubani Group, they are actively cooperating with the investigative body.

“Abanotubani Group expresses deep sorrow over the tragic incident and expresses its sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased.

The company observed all applicable safety, registration and service standards and procedures at the facility. All necessary measures provided for by the legislation have been taken in the relevant area regarding the incident.

Abanotubani Group is actively cooperating with the investigative body. The circumstances of the case are being actively studied.

Currently, the work process of the baths continues uninterrupted,” the statement says.

For information, two people were found dead in a bathhouse in Old Tbilisi on June 3. An investigation into the incident has been launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to incitement to suicide.

According to available information, two men over 80 years old have died.
