This is a technical meeting, but you would notice how excited those evil forces that look poor in Georgian politics are - and they are parasitizing on such topics and resorting to political juggling or insinuations to stir up commotion in Georgian society, - Georgian Dream MP Aluda Gudushauri told journalists, thus responding to the EU-Georgia dialogue on visa-free travel scheduled for June 11.
According to him, visa liberalization is an extremely great achievement.
“It is truly a great achievement [visa liberalization] - it happened during our government, and it is natural that the Georgian people benefit from this good. This is a technical meeting, but you would notice how excited those evil forces are about this meeting, who look poor in Georgian politics and do not have the support of the Georgian people. They parasitize on such topics and resort to political juggling or insinuations in order to arouse commotion in Georgian society. We have heard from both sides that this is a technical meeting,” said Aluda Ghudushauri.
When asked for clarification, Ghudushauri replied that, according to objective and fair criteria, Georgia is ahead of all candidate countries in a number of aspects, which is confirmed by the results of a study conducted by their own authoritative organizations.
"Visa liberalization was not an easy gift, was it? A whole series of works preceded it, and it is natural that Georgia honestly fulfilled all the prerequisites. Therefore, if we measure it by objective and fair criteria, you can see that Georgia is ahead of all the candidate countries in a number of aspects - these are the results of the study conducted by their own authoritative organizations. But if we put all this into a political framework, the picture absolutely changes. Therefore, it will be difficult for me to speak on their behalf about the political part, absolutely everyone sees this - it is sad, but this is a fact. If we look at objective criteria and measurable indicators, Georgia is really ahead there, and it is natural that even they have difficulty proving anything to the contrary in this regard, because all this is based on facts and arguments," said Ghudushauri.
