“Georgia is an important partner of the Kyrgyz Republic, and our relations are based on mutual trust, mutual respect, and long-term cooperation. The first official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Kyrgyzstan is a historic event,” President Sadyr Japarov said during a joint briefing with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

According to him, relations between the two countries are founded on mutual trust and long-standing cooperation, and it is important to maintain regular political dialogue.

“Georgia is an important partner of the Kyrgyz Republic, and our relations are based on mutual trust, mutual respect, and long-term cooperation. We consider the first official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Kyrgyzstan to be a historic event. Indeed, in the 34-year history of Kyrgyz-Georgian diplomatic relations, this is the first official visit to Kyrgyzstan by our Georgian friends at such a high level.

Today’s negotiations were conducted in an open, friendly, and constructive atmosphere. We comprehensively discussed the most important issues on the bilateral agenda, including political dialogue, trade and economic relations, investment and sectoral cooperation, as well as the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.

Political relations between our states have always been strong and based on trust, and this provides a solid foundation for cooperation in all fields. In this context, we emphasize the importance of maintaining regular political dialogue, deepening intergovernmental and interparliamentary contacts, and expanding consultations between our foreign ministries.

Trade and economic cooperation was one of the key topics of today’s discussions. We noted that the positive dynamics in bilateral trade once again demonstrate the need for practical steps to increase trade turnover, expand direct business contacts, and develop joint investment projects.

Today, the Kyrgyz Republic is ensuring sustainable economic growth, actively implementing reforms, and creating favorable conditions for businesses and investors. In this context, we encourage our Georgian partners to become more actively involved in projects related to transport, logistics, agriculture, construction, the digital economy, tourism, and other promising sectors.

Special attention was given to connecting the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway with Georgia’s port infrastructure. We emphasized that cooperation in this area is one of the priority directions in bilateral relations between our two countries.

Cultural and humanitarian cooperation is also an important component of our bilateral relationship. We are interested in implementing exchange programs in education, science, culture, youth policy, and sports.

I encourage Georgian athletes to actively participate in the Sixth World Nomad Games, which will be held in the Kyrgyz Republic this year. I am confident that this large-scale international event will serve as an important platform for strengthening friendship between our peoples, enhancing mutual understanding, and promoting cultural dialogue.

We discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda and also reviewed various aspects of multilateral cooperation. As a result of the negotiations, a number of important documents were signed.

I am confident that the agreements reached today will further strengthen Kyrgyz-Georgian relations, facilitate the implementation of mutually beneficial projects, and contribute to the well-being of the peoples of our two countries.

Thank you for the productive negotiations, and thank you for your readiness to further develop the Kyrgyz-Georgian partnership. I wish the friendly people of Georgia peace, prosperity, and continuous development,” the President of the Kyrgyz Republic stated.
