Special weighing systems to be installed on highways and roads

According to Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze, special weighing systems will be installed on Georgia’s highways and roads.

As Sokhadze explained, the systems will measure and record the weight of heavy trucks.

“We are working on installing special weighing systems on our highways that will record the weight of heavy trucks. One of the main problems affecting our roads is the movement of overloaded freight vehicles, which causes damage to road infrastructure,” the minister said.

The information was released by Georgia’s Ministry of Infrastructure.
