The so-called court of occupied Donetsk sentenced a Georgian fighter in Ukraine to 14 years in prison in absentia, Russian media reports.

The Supreme Court of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic sentenced Georgian citizen Bacho Nonashvili to imprisonment in a strict regime colony.

According to Russian media, Nonashvili arrived in Ukraine in the summer of 2023 through the Polish border checkpoint and fought against the Russian armed forces until March 2026.

"The 40-year-old mercenary fighter participated in hostilities on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces. Nonashvili was found guilty under Part 3 of Article 359 of the Russian Criminal Code. He is on international wanted list," Russian media writes.
