Tbilisi City Court has imposed a 2,000 GEL fine on Giorgi Gedenidze for insulting Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the “Coalition for Change.”

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on June 3, Giorgi Gedenidze insulted Nika Gvaramia in a comment on a post by “Imedi” on social media.

The incident was identified by the Hate Speech Prevention Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The case was examined under Article 166 of the Administrative Offences Code.

Neither Giorgi Gedenidze nor his legal representative attended the court hearing.
