It is true that Elene Khoshtaria had chronic disease diagnoses prior to her arrest, for which the penitentiary service refuses to provide the prisoner with systemic treatment. This was noted at the press conference and the statement released by the penitentiary service itself confirms the same.

We would like to inform the public that after the press conference, communication was immediately established with Elene, both from the institution’s doctor and the director. It is unfortunate that even such communication required a public press conference, which does not solve Elene Khoshtaria’s health problem. We hope that this communication will have practical results in the direction of systemic treatment.

We emphasize once again that Elene does not demand anything from the regime and the regime and Bidzina Ivanishvili personally bear full responsibility for the severe consequences expected due to the deterioration of her health. It should also be noted that Elene has no complaints against ordinary prison employees - nurses and officers.
