So-called foreign ministry of occupied Abkhazia - The only confirmation of peaceful intentions of Georgia is the signing of a legally binding document on the non-use of military force

In Georgia, young people are being forcibly mobilized against the republic of Abkhazia, - reads a statement issued by the so-called ministry of foreign affairs of occupied Abkhazia.

"Another educational project has been organized for schoolchildren in Georgia - called "When I return to Abkhazia". Holding such events is not a new initiative. This is an element of Georgia’s long-standing policy, the purpose of which is to create a distorted perception of historical events and the statehood of the Republic of Abkhazia,” the so-called ministry states.

Also, according to the statement, “under various slogans about “peace,” “dialogue,” and “Christian values,” young people are in fact being wrapped in one-sided political narratives, the real goal of which is to educate Georgian youth in an artificially created mythological space.”

“The generation that started the bloody war against Abkhazia not only refuses to recognize the existing political and legal reality, but also continues to prepare the future generation with an even more distorted understanding of objective historical facts,” reads the statement.

According to the so-called foreign ministry, “Georgian ideologists are trying to turn young people into tools for their unrealized revanchist policy.”

"Such attempts to replace historical memory with propaganda constructs are yet another proof that Georgia does not want to acknowledge its responsibility for starting the war. In today's reality, the only confirmation of peaceful intentions on the part of Georgia is the signing of a legally binding document on the non-use of military force against the republic of Abkhazia," reads the statement.
