The so-called president of occupied Tskhinvali, Alan Gagloev, resigned and became an advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian media reports.
The Kremlin has published a decree by Vladimir Putin on the appointment of Alan Gagloev as an advisor to the Russian President.
“Alan Gagloev shall be appointed as an advisor to the President of the Russian Federation,” reads Putin’s decree.
Alan Gagloev stated that he had accepted Vladimir Putin’s offer and announced his resignation from the “post” of the so-called president of occupied Tskhinvali.
"Yesterday I met with the President of Russia and he offered me a job as his advisor in the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. I supported our historical leader, Vladimir Putin, and I am ready to stand by him," Gagloev said.
