Head of Penitentiary Service - There has been no delay in allowing a personal doctor to visit Elene Khoshtaria and only a minimum of mandatory documentation was required

The process that is taking place in relation to Elene Khoshtaria in general is really resembling a theater of the absurd, given that after the convict's request, all necessary laboratory tests were immediately conducted for her, - the head of the Special Penitentiary Service, Giorgi Pataridze, told journalists.

"Fortunately, the laboratory test results are negative specifically for the disease that the convict suspected. There were no delays in allowing the convict to see his personal doctor at the facility. The mandatory, minimal documentation was requested - a photocopy of the ID card and also a certificate confirming the specialty in the relevant field, which, believe me, any doctor should have.

I declare with full responsibility, let them present a photocopy of the ID card and a certificate confirming that this doctor is a specialist in the relevant field and the admission will take place within a few minutes. The doctor did not come to the facility. The doctor she requested did not come to our penitentiary facility," - said Giorgi Pataridze.

According to him, the Penitentiary Service was applied to about 4 days ago about conducting tests, but before that, there was no request for tests from Elene Khoshtaria.

“I emphasize that the relevant laboratory tests were carried out at her request, and more than once,” said Giorgi Pataridze.

For information, according to the leaders of the Droa party, the Penitentiary Service is artificially delaying the process regarding the access of the doctor who treated Elene Khoshtaria.
