According to the State Security Service, a Georgian citizen illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the village of Bershueti in the Gori municipality on June 22 is free and is in the territory controlled by the central government.
According to them, all relevant instruments at the disposal of the central government were actively used in the process of releasing the illegally detained Georgian citizen, including the "hotline" operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM).
"The State Security Service continues to work actively to release all Georgian citizens illegally detained in the occupied territories," reads the information.
