I am surprised that Bidzina Ivanishvili does not understand that unexpressed curses and anger that people cannot voice is much more dangerous. This can cause such an emotional explosion in the country that people will no longer be able to control their anger. I have no doubt that this will definitely happen! - expert Lela Jejelava stated on the “PalitraNews” program “Day’s Newsroom.”
According to Jejelava, imposing fines and arresting people for expressing anger in public spaces will lead to anger erupting completely uncontrollably.
“Cursing is probably not the best form of expressing an opinion, but it is an expression of a person’s emotional state when you try to hurt back someone who has hurt you.
When people express anger, they do not use words that please the ear or gladden the heart. When this is banned, when people are fined and imprisoned for it, anger is added to anger. Then emotions escape the control of consciousness and anger can erupt completely uncontrollably, which will not bring the result that Bidzina Ivanishvili expects. It will inevitably reach a point that creates far more problems for him.
The history of humanity tells us that authoritarians and dictators obsessed with the mania of power enter a ‘cold war’ with their own population. Later, this ‘cold war’ mostly turns into a hot war, which usually ends very badly for dictators. That is why I say that a government that cannot recognize its own mistakes, and whose every step is not aimed at protecting the people’s interests, cannot escape the spiral it has entered. That’s how it is - a spiral pulls you in and you can no longer get out,” Lela Jejelava stated.
Regarding the fight that took place last week in the Parliament’s plenary session hall, the analyst assessed that it demonstrated the weakness of “Georgian Dream,” despite the fact that “they were swinging their fists well.” She said that “Georgian Dream” has declared violence as its own exclusive right - when the police use violence, special forces use violence, the people’s chosen representatives use violence, and in courtrooms judges use violence by depriving people of their liberty based on false witness testimony.
“Georgian Dream is trying to tell us that it has an exclusive right to violence and will not allow others to use it. This is happening because they know very well that whoever uses violence will inevitably become its victim. Their subconscious speaks about this every minute, and out of fear they commit even greater stupidity. It is not my invention that ‘by the sword you wield, you shall be destroyed.’ This is universal wisdom and the balance in the world is built on this principle. Therefore, they should understand well that by whichever sword they take up, they will be destroyed by it,” Jejelava stated.
Jejelava also commented on Bidzina Ivanishvili’s youngest son, Cotne Ivanishvili, participating in conferences of the “Georgian Dream” youth organization, noting that “starting public activity with lies is not good.”
“If Cotne Ivanishvili has no plans for public politics, then why is he traveling from region to region and talking to young people?! It is incomprehensible! Of course, no one can have any claims against Ivanishvili’s children, but why can we comment on his statements? Is he a prince and therefore does not enter politics?! Is he a prince, so his statements must necessarily appear in media reports? I am a bit confused!
Bidzina Ivanishvili is in big trouble because of his wrong policy, and it would be much better if he does not create problems for his own children as well. I do not recognize Cotne Ivanishvili as a prince and I have no interest in him. When he was talking about the fight in Parliament, he named advanced countries. I want to tell him that because we also want to be an advanced country, his father has sent half of Georgia to prison or put it in shackles. If something bothers Cotne, perhaps he should first express those concerns within the family and then share his thoughts with the media. The first reason for what is happening in the country today lies within Cotne’s family!
As one MP said, the guarantor of our peace and sovereignty is Bidzina Ivanishvili. Who needs a state where the guarantor of peace and sovereignty is one person? We need state institutions as guarantors, not Bidzina Ivanishvili!” Lela Jejelava stated.
The guest on “Palitra News” also assessed the developments regarding the health condition of “Droa” leader Elene Khoshtaria, who is in prison. According to Jejelava, if society had shown less interest in the issue, Khoshtaria would not have been transferred to a clinic.
“The government voluntarily declares that it is a friend of those states and is in the club of those states where a person has no value and is only a means. Such are authoritarian regimes. Our government’s flirtation with authoritarian regimes is no secret to anyone. Accordingly, these are governments of the same nature - naturally, with different capabilities and scales.
It is good that Elene Khoshtaria is being transferred to a clinic where she will have the opportunity for full examinations and treatment. It is bad that society has to fight to achieve this. The government was testing society, and when it saw that society showed high sensitivity to Elene Khoshtaria’s health condition and was ready to put pressure on the government to resolve the issue, the authorities realized they had to back down. If less interest had been shown in the issue, Khoshtaria would definitely not have been transferred to the clinic.
We saw that Vivamedi Clinic positions itself as part of the system, but the good thing is that doctors will be involved in Elene Khoshtaria’s treatment process and will have the opportunity to monitor it. Therefore, I am confident that from this point of view, the government will no longer have the opportunity to create problems,” Lela Jejelava stated.
