Activist Tamar Lortkipanidze, who climbed onto a patrol police car and damaged it during a protest on November 22, 2025, has signed a plea agreement – she will leave prison in 4 months

Activist Tamar Lortkipanidze, who was charged with violence and attacking a police vehicle, has been found guilty by the court, but has signed a plea agreement.

Tbilisi City Court Judge Romeo Tkeshelashvili approved the plea agreement reached between the parties. According to the agreement, Tamar Lortkipanidze was sentenced to 1 year of actual imprisonment and 3 years of conditional imprisonment.

The convict will leave the penitentiary institution in 4 months.

For information: On November 22, 2025, during an ongoing protest rally, Tamar Lortkipanidze climbed onto the roof of a patrol police service vehicle and damaged the roof and hood by repeatedly kicking it. According to the investigation, the damage caused amounted to 3,300 GEL.

Lortkipanidze was charged under Article 126 (Part 1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia (violence causing physical pain to the victim) and Article 353¹ (Part 1) (attack on a police vehicle in connection with a police officer’s official duties). The charges carry a sentence of 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
