As the lawyer explains, he visited Malania shortly after his detention, but did not discuss the details of the case with him. Tsutskiridze will meet with his client today in a few hours.

“I had a meeting with him yesterday, late at night. We did not talk about any details. I simply visited him, met my client, and we did not exchange information about the rest.

He had been in the temporary detention isolator for about an hour, and I myself did not consider it appropriate to talk about these topics. From the detention report, we know that he was detained under the article for failure to report a crime.

Before his detention, he was a witness. As far as I know, he had been questioned by the investigative agency before that. As for the content of the testimony, it is unknown to me, and as I told you, we did not talk about these topics at all yesterday. However, both the family and his own mood indicate that he naturally had no connection to this article or to the failure to report a crime. I cannot provide information about the details of what happened and what did not,” Tsutskiridze stated.

According to the investigative agency, Giorgi Malania is charged with the fact that he possessed information about the attack on Giga Avaliani. He also learned the details of the committed act shortly after the attack on Giga Avaliani, but did not report the incident to the police.
