Isako Davidze, accused of insulting the court, signs a plea agreement and gets one-year prison sentence

Demonstrator Isako Davidze, who was accused of insulting the court, signed a plea agreement with a 1-year real sentence.

Judge Nino Nachkebia found Davidze guilty of the charges and approved the plea agreement reached between the parties.

Isako Davidze will leave the penitentiary institution in 6 months.

For information, Isako Davidze was administratively arrested on December 20, 2025, accused of insulting a police officer and was placed under 30 days of administrative detention. Before the expiration of the aforementioned term, he was charged under Article 366 of the Criminal Code, which refers to contempt of court. Specifically, Devidze was accused of insulting Judge Zviad Tsekvava.
