Irakli Kobakhidze - There is Russia, which does not recognize Georgia's sovereignty over 20% of our territories, and there is Kaja Kallas, who does not recognize sovereignty over 100% of the country's territory - the European bureaucracy has entered into absurdity

There is a country, the Russian Federation, which does not recognize Georgia's sovereignty over 20% of our territories. There is Kaja Kallas, who does not recognize Georgia's sovereignty over 100% of the country's territory, - this is how the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, answered the journalists' question regarding the statement of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, in which she says that she supports the Georgian people and does not want the support of the Georgian government.

According to him, “when the EU High Representative does not recognize the will of the Georgian people and opposes the will of the Georgian people, this is a very serious incident.”

“We have often said that there is a country, the Russian Federation, that does not recognize the sovereignty of Georgia, over 20% of our territories. There is Kaja Kallas, who does not recognize the sovereignty of Georgia, over 100% of the territory of the country. Of course, this is a completely shameful attitude. This is a very serious attitude, which accordingly deserves a serious assessment. When the highest representative of the European Union does not recognize the will of the Georgian people and opposes the will of the Georgian people, this is a very serious thing.

The bureaucracy of the European Union has entered into absurdity. You know very well the role of Georgia in terms of connectivity. Georgia connects seven countries with the Black Sea and, accordingly, with the Western space. Therefore, the role of Georgia in this regard is key. Do you know what absurd decisions were made? - A ministerial was held, where seven countries were invited, at the ministerial level, and Georgia was not invited at the ministerial level. While it is Georgia that connects all seven others with the Black Sea. When you enter such an absurdity, it means that you cannot make decisions independently. Then you are surprised when we talk about the fact that the European bureaucracy is governed from beginning to end by external influences, and not in accordance with its own sovereign interests. The indicators we are talking about are the result of this. The share of the European Union in the world economy in 2008, 18 years ago, it was 30%. Today it has decreased to 17.5%. This is precisely the result of the loss of sovereignty. Such absurd decisions additionally contribute to the fact that the share of the European Union in the world economy will decrease even more. You know that Europe has serious problems in terms of connectivity in the East, after access to cheap Russian resources has been blocked. Also, against the backdrop of the Middle East crisis, a serious deadlock has been created in the relevant direction. Georgia remains the only effective way for the European Union to maintain close ties with the East, including from an economic point of view. When you have difficulty recognizing your own objective interests at such a time, it means that you are acting not in accordance with your own sovereign interests, but in accordance with the interests of external forces,” Kobakhidze said.

For information, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, in response to a question from Euroscope in Brussels before the start of the meetings of the foreign ministers of the EU member states, stated that “we have no connections with the Georgian government and we do not want to support themit - we want to support the Georgian people.”

According to her, the EU discussed how to act so that the Georgian people do not lose hope in Europe. In addition, as she noted, various countries located around the Black Sea play an important role in the implementation of the Black Sea Strategy, but they are currently difficulties struggling with Georgia.
