We will never forget what Russia did for the people of the Republic of South Ossetia in August 2008, - the Acting President of Occupied Tskhinvali, Marat Kambolov, told Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“First of all, I would like to thank you for your special attitude towards the people of the Republic of South Ossetia. We will never forget what Russia did for the people of the republic in August 2008,” Kambolov said.

He said “the population of South Ossetia is sincerely oriented towards the Russian Federation.”

“For us, the strategic partnership with the Russian Federation is of great importance, and we consider every important decision in this context,” Kambolov noted.
