The invitation of Maka Botchorishvili by Marco Rubio to the summit means that we have entered a new stage of relations - we will have many more official meetings in the US, there will be cooperation, more summits, more invitations, - Georgian Dream MP Irakli Tcheishvili told journalists.

According to him, the invitation shows that the process of resetting US-Georgian relations has been underway for a long time.

“It means a lot. When the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio invites the Georgian Foreign Minister to such an important summit, it shows what kind of relationship we have with the US leadership today. It shows that the reset process has been underway for a long time. We have entered a new stage in our relations with the US, and [the invitation] emphasizes exactly that. We will have many more official meetings in the US. The main thing is that the process of relations has begun, we have entered a new stage, there will be cooperation, more summits, more invitations, etc. So, I will only evaluate this specific meeting in a positive light,” Tcheishvili said.

For information, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, at the invitation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, participated in the Ministerial on Resurgence of Political Terrorism. The event was held in Washington and was attended by representatives from about 60 countries.
