We had the opportunity to hold an expanded format meeting, within the framework of which attention was focused on the further deepening of Georgian-Turkmen trade and economic relations, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the joint briefing with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow at the Government Administration.
As Kobakhidze noted, Georgia is actively following the important processes taking place in Turkmenistan in the direction of economic development, expansion of transport and logistics capabilities, and social progress.

We also discussed the prospects for the development of transport and logistics ties. Particular attention was paid to the Trans-Caspian international transport route - the importance of developing the "Middle Corridor" and the need to strengthen efforts in this direction, including in terms of attracting additional cargo," the Prime Minister said.
According to the Head of Government, the meeting discussed issues of cooperation within international and multilateral formats.
"We talked about better utilization of existing opportunities in the field of tourism, prospects for increasing tourist flows and further strengthening people-to-people ties. The conversation also touched on partnership in the field of culture and education.
