Participation in this ministerial was a very good opportunity for Georgia to once again focus on the challenges facing us, - Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili told journalists, thus assessing her participation in the Ministerial on Resurgence of Political Terrorism held in Washington.
According to her, putting political terrorism on the international agenda is an important initiative on the part of the United States Secretary of State.
“Putting political terrorism on the international agenda is an important initiative by the United States Secretary of State. The conference, which was organized in Washington, was a good opportunity for us to participate and talk about the challenges that our country has faced in recent times,” said Maka Botchorishvili.
According to the Minister, Georgia is an example of how radical forces are incited against state and democratic institutions through foreign funding.
“We are a good example of how radical forces are incited against state and democratic institutions, especially through external funding. These are the issues that are important and should concern the international community,” the Minister noted.
According to Maka Botchorishvili, an interesting discussion was held among fellow ministers within the framework of the ministerial, where special attention was paid to the issues of terrorism and extremism.

Of course, when we talk about terrorism and extremism, different ideological directions are important. In this regard, our participation in this ministerial was a very good opportunity for Georgia to once again focus on the challenges facing us, the problem of radicalism and the manifestation of political terrorism that we have seen in Georgia in recent years,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs said.
