The Agarani Mamuli hotel, located in Telavi, has issued a statement regarding an incident that occurred during a wedding.

As stated in their statement, they immediately called law enforcement agencies before a physical confrontation would occur.

In addition, as the Agarani Mamuli administration explains, none of their employees disclosed information about the guest's room and none of their employees were involved in the physical confrontation.

“We would like to provide the public with an update regarding the incident that occurred between the guests at Agarani Mamuli yesterday. Violence has no place at Agarani Mamuli. We deeply regret that such an incident occurred on our premises and sincerely wish a full recovery and well-being to all those involved. As soon as our team noticed that the situation between the parties was tense, law enforcement was immediately called, before a physical confrontation would occur. Emergency medical services were also immediately called following the incident.

Our team assisted the parties involved, ensured that all relevant information was recorded, and is continuing to fully cooperate with the authorities. As a result of our internal investigation, we would like to clarify two important facts: No Agarani Mamuli employee disclosed any guest room information to another guest. No Agarani Mamuli employee was involved in this physical confrontation.

Protecting the privacy and safety of our guests is one of our top priorities. It is our primary responsibility and these principles form the basis of our activities. An official investigation into this incident is underway. We fully respect this process and will not comment further on the specific circumstances until it is completed. Unfortunately, since the incident, a number of inaccurate information and false allegations have been widely disseminated on the Internet, concerning our hotel, our employees and owners. We urge everyone to rely only on confirmed facts and not on assumptions or unconfirmed information until all the circumstances of the case have been fully established by the authorized authorities. Agarani Mamuli is happy to host guests from different countries of the world and people of different cultural or national origins. We categorically reject discrimination, hatred and violence in any form and remain committed to our commitment to creating a safe, respectful and hospitable environment for each guest. In the event that false statements unlawfully damage the reputation of our employees or our business, Agarani Mamuli will use all relevant legal mechanisms provided for by law to protect our rights. We thank our guests, partners and the public for their patience and understanding until the investigation is completed," reads the statement.

For information, the case concerns an incident that occurred during a wedding in one of the hotels in Telavi, when foreign citizens insulted the wedding guests from the balcony of the hotel room and poured water on the equipment. This led to a physical confrontation. One of the men injured the foreign citizen. The injured person was taken to a clinic for appropriate medical care.

Kakheti police have arrested one person on charges of intentional minor injury to health. The investigation is underway under Article 120 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for up to 3 years.
