Due to heavy rain in Tbilisi, problems have arisen in several districts of the city and on specific streets, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said in a video message.

According to him, all relevant services were working in emergency mode and were mobilized at various locations throughout the city.

"It was raining very heavily in Tbilisi, in some districts of the city, creating problems on specific streets.

Our relevant services were mobilized to the maximum. Employees of all departments were out on the streets, in various locations where there was a need and necessity," - the Mayor of Tbilisi said.

According to Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani, the most problematic areas due to heavy rain were Didi Digomi, the area surrounding Goodwill, and several locations in the village of Digomi. There were also problems at the intersection of University and Tamarashvili streets, on the right bank of the Mtkvari River, on Eristavi Street.

According to Bendeliani, no message received by the City Hall hotline has been left unanswered.

According to the head of the Patrol Police Department, traffic was also restricted on several sections flooded due to heavy rain, as a preventive measure
